US 271 from Loop 286 to SH 37

The virtual public meeting will be posted below beginning Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at 5 p.m., and will remain online through Friday, December 2, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Please note, this is not a live event. The materials can be viewed at your convenience.

Additionally, TxDOT is providing an in-person meeting for individuals who would like to participate in person instead of online. In-person attendees will be able to review the same materials and presentation as the online public meeting.

The proposed improvements to US 271 include the following:

• CSJs: 0221-01-078, 0221-01-079 and 0221-02-028 – Widening US 271 from Loop 286 in Lamar County to SH 37 in Red River County, from a two-lane highway to a four-lane divided highway for approximately 20.6 miles. The proposed project is currently funded.
