Description

TxDOT is proposing to widen SH 115 from Spur 247 to SH 128 in Ward, Winkler, and Andrews counties, Texas. The proposed improvements to this 47-mile segment of SH 115 South include widening to a four-lane divided highway, with two lanes in each direction, with a center median or barrier and turn-lanes throughout the entire length of the project. No improvements through the cities of Wink or Kermit are anticipated.

The proposed project would, subject to final design considerations, require approximately 450 acres of additional right of way and would potentially displace two non-residential structures. No residential structures would be displaced. Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the TxDOT Relocation Assistance Program and services and benefits for those displaced and other affected property owners can be obtained by calling 281-820-7413.

If you have any general questions or concerns regarding the proposed project or the virtual meeting, please contact Roger Gonzalez, P.E., the project consultant engineer, at 281-820-7413, or by email to sh115south@entechhou.com.

Accessibility The virtual public meeting will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language, or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting, please contact the project team at 281-820-7413 no later than 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
