Purpose The purpose of this fourth and final PEL meeting is to provide an opportunity for the community to review and comment on the latest study updates and the recommended alternatives that resulted from the second level of alternative screening and evaluation. A series of three public meetings were held between 2018 and 2023 and public input from those events has been considered in the study findings. No changes will be made or proposed to the existing roadway at this time. Alternatives recommended at the conclusion of the PEL study may become future projects and would be subject to modification during the project development process.

The purpose of the I-45N PEL Study is to explore transportation alternatives to address the growing safety, mobility, and connectivity needs along the corridor due to the projected population and employment growth in the greater Houston region. The study corridor has been identified as a 24-mile stretch of I-45 North from Beltway 8 North to Loop 336 South.

Any documentation or studies, maps and drawings showing the project location and design, tentative construction schedules, and other information regarding the proposed study are on file and available for review Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the TxDOT Houston District Office, 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007, by contacting 713-802-5374. Project materials are also available online at https://www.txdot.gov/projects/hearings-meetings.html. These materials will also be available in hard copy form for review at the in-person option.

If you have any general questions or concerns regarding this study or the public meeting, please contact the project's transportation engineer at 713-802-5374 or by email as shown in the meeting notice.
