Bringhurst Pedestrian Bridge

Where: Young Men's College Preparatory Academy
1701 Bringhurst St.
Houston, TX 77020

 When: Tuesday, April 2, 2013
6 pm - 8 pm
Purpose: An open house public meeting to present the proposed construction of a pedestrian bridge at the intersection of Bringhurst Street and the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) tracks between Rawley Street and Noble Street in Houston.

Exhibits will be displayed for viewing and TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions.
Partners: This study is a partnership between TxDOT, the City of Houston, the Gulf Coast Rail District and the Federal Highway Administration.
Description: Proposed improvements include the following:
  • Acquisition of two parcels of land by the City of Houston totaling 0.1451 acres
  • Permanent closure of the crossings at Bringhurst and Hailey Street at the UPRR tracks
