Description:

Proposed improvements include the following:

  • Adding a raised landscaped median
  • Adding left-turn lanes along Farm to Market (FM) 1098 from US 290 to Owens Road

The purpose of the proposed project would be to improve safety; provide access management within the project area; and to aesthetically enhance the entrance to the Prairie View A&M University campus (to be consistent with the Campus Master Plan). The total project area is approximately 0.5 mile. No right of way or displacement requirements are anticipated. Written comments must be postmarked or submitted electronically by July 5, 2017.

If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call the TxDOT Houston District Public Information Office at (713) 802-5076 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.
