Notice Affording Opportunity for Public Hearing - Trammel Fresno Road, Fort Bend County

Purpose: Anyone may request that a public hearing be held covering the social, economic and environmental effects of the proposed widening of Trammel Fresno Road from two to four lanes from Fort Bend Parkway to FM 521 in Fort Bend County, Texas.

The purpose of the proposed Trammel Fresno Road widening project is to relieve traffic congestion given increased population growth and provide access through Fort Bend Parkway, SH 6 and Beltway 8.

Any interested persons may request that a public hearing be held to explain the social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed project by providing a written request sent to the contact information listed below.
   
Description: Proposed improvements include the following:
  • Adding a 12-foot continuous left turn lane, continuous 14-foot outside and 11-foot inside lane; this additional space also helps  accommodate cyclist and pedestrian traffic
  • Adding sidewalks along both sides of the roadway from Hurricane Lane to the South Post Oak Road intersection
  • Adding crosswalk stripes and signage at all signalized intersections
  • Adding a new signal at S. Post Oak Boulevard
  • Constructing two detention ponds outside of the right of way to accommodate drainage needs; no displacements of structures are required
