Public Meeting - I-30 from Cooper Street to SH 161 in Arlington

Where: Hilton Arlington Hotel
2401 E. Lamar Blvd.
Arlington, TX 76006
When: Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014
6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Purpose: The purpose of the meeting is to offer an opportunity for the public to discuss and make comments about the proposed improvements to Interstate 30 from Cooper Street to State Highway (SH) 161. This includes the SH 360 interchange area extending from Avenue K/Brown Boulevard to Road to Six Flags.

Maps of the project area and other displays will be available for review and comment and TxDOT staff will be available to answer questions. The meeting will be an open house format, allowing visitors to come and go at their availability.

Description: The project would address current and projected traffic demands and facility deficiencies. It would provide:
  • A fully directional interchange to improve connectivity between I-30 and SH 360
  • Capacity for I-30 by adding general purpose lanes and converting the existing concurrent managed toll/high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes to a reversible two-lane managed toll/HOV facility

The proposed project would require approximately 17 acres of new right of way.
