Purpose | TxDOT's El Paso District will conduct an online virtual public meeting with an in-person option for the 2023 – 2026 Rural Transportation Improvement Program. The purpose of this meeting is to provide information and receive comments on which transportation projects may be coming to your area. |
Description | The El Paso District includes El Paso County, Hudspeth County, Culberson County, Jeff Davis County, Presidio County, and Brewster County. The Rural TIP includes all added capacity and regionally significant projects to be funded within a TxDOT District during the next four years, including those eligible for federal funding. As such, this meeting offers the public an opportunity to review and comment on the proposed priorities. The Rural TIP is the first step on the road to producing a Statewide Transportation Improvement Program. The Rural TIP meetings are being held pursuant to Title 43, Texas Administrative Code, Section 16.102, which calls for an opportunity for public comment concerning the Rural TIP. The same information including a short presentation, exhibits explaining how the Rural TIP operates, and projects that are included in it will be available to view at each public meeting. |
Accessibility | The virtual public meeting and in-person option will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual public meeting or in-person option, please contact Lauren Macias-Cervantes, El Paso Public Information Officer, at (915) 790-4200 no later than 4pm (CT), March 23, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange. |
