Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to solicit public comments on the proposed roadway improvements to US 175 from FM 148 to CR 4104 in the City of Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format, and project staff will be available to answer questions about the proposed project.

Description:

The proposed project would extend from FM 148 in eastern Crandall to CR 4104 for a total length of approximately 2.7 miles. The proposed project would entail the construction of a new frontage road between FM 148 and CR 4104 on the south side of US 175. The proposed project would require approximately 41 acres of proposed right of way and an estimate of 0.42 acres of proposed permanent easements.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by the Federal Highway Administration and TxDOT.
