Crandall Independent School District
400 W. Lewis St.
Crandall, TX 75114 (Map)

When:

Tuesday, May 23, 2017
6 - 8 p.m. Open House/no formal presentation

Purpose:

To present the proposed construction of a new location roadway for Farm To Market Road 148 Bypass from south of FM 3039 to US 175 in the City of Crandall, Kaufman County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation so citizens may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.

Description:

The proposed project would construct a new location roadway creating a connection from the existing FM 148 to US 175 that would bypass the urban center of the City of Crandall. The proposed bypass would be 1.6 miles long and would consist of two 12-foot-wide travel lanes (one lane in each direction) with 8-foot-wide outside shoulders, and turn lanes. A frontage road connection would also be constructed for westbound traffic along US 175, which would include a 12-foot-wide inside travel lane and 14-foot-wide outside travel lane with 3-foot-wide outside shoulders. The proposed project would require approximately 40.2 acres of proposed right-of-way and 2.5 acres of proposed permanent easements for drainage. Comments submitted after the meeting must be received or postmarked by Wednesday, June 7, 2017, to be part of the public meeting record.
