| Purpose: | To present the proposed improvements collectively referred to as "The Southern Gateway Managed Lanes Project" within the City of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas. | ||
| Description: | Since the last series of public meetings held in Summer 2015, there have been substantial changes to the project based on stakeholder and public input. The most notable change to the project is that the managed lane will not be proposed as a toll facility. Instead, a non-tolled express/managed lane facility open to all users will be implemented. Other changes consist of relocating the managed lane access points, providing wider cross-street accommodations for pedestrian and bicycle accessibility, updates to ramping configuration at I-35E and Beckley Avenue, adding general purpose lanes, realignment of the mainlane geometry to reduce right-of-way impacts and providing accommodations for a future deck park. | ||
