Purpose

Brazos County, in partnership with the Texas Department of Transportation, and the cities of Bryan and College Station, is studying the feasibility of a new roadway that would loop the eastern areas of Bryan and College Station.

The Inner Loop East Study is expected to enhance local and regional connectivity and is part of a continued effort to improve transportation in the community.

The project is funded through Brazos County’s voter-approved Transportation Road Improvement Bond Program (TRIP) 2022 bond.

Description Brazos County is in the process of collecting and analyzing data to identify feasible options for a new roadway alignment approximately 20 miles in length. The proposed loop alignment would connect to SH 6 at FM 2818 in Bryan then continue southward and connect with William D Fitch Parkway in College Station. The study has identified a general corridor (or opportunity area) for the loop alignment which includes several route options. The County would like feedback about these proposed loop routes.
