|Purpose||TxDOT is conducting a virtual open house with two in-person options. In-person attendees will be able to view the same materials shared in the virtual open house, review hard copies of project materials, ask questions of TxDOT staff and/or consultants and leave written comments. Two separate in-person open houses are scheduled with one on Monday, Nov. 6, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and the second on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The same materials and information will be presented at both in-person open houses.|
The proposed project includes the following:
The purpose of the project is to improve mobility by constructing additional travel lanes and increase safety by bringing the roadway up to current design standards, separating northbound and southbound travel lanes with a grassy median and upgrading other safety appurtenances (guard rail, sloped culvert end treatments, wide shoulders, etc.). The project spans approximately 28 miles and will require additional right of way adjacent to the existing corridor (acreage to be determined pending final design); displacements may also be required but have not yet been identified.
The Nov. 6 and Nov. 14 meetings replace open houses originally scheduled in July.
|Accessibility||The virtual open house and in-person options will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. If you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires accommodation to attend and participate in the virtual open house, please contact TxDOT at 325-643-0413 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2023. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.|
