Public Meeting - Rural Transportation Improvement Program

Purpose: The Texas Department of Transportation is seeking comments on the initial adoption of the proposed FY 2015-2018 Rural Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for the Amarillo District, including the public's ideas for the improvement and growth of the transportation system and to hear which improvements have been scheduled in this area. The Amarillo District includes Dallam, Sherman, Hansford, Ochiltree, Lipscomb, Hartley, Moore, Hutchinson, Roberts, Hemphill, Oldham, Potter, Carson, Gray, Deaf Smith, Randall and Armstrong counties.
   
Description: The TIP is a mechanism used by TxDOT and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) to fund projects for the next four years. It includes all federally funded projects.

The public is encouraged to attended this meeting and provide comments. Written comments will be received until 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
