Public Meeting - State Loop 335

Purpose:	The purpose of the public meeting is to present conceptual alignment on a new location to State Loop (SL) 335 from FM 2590 to SW 9th Avenue.

Description:	TxDOT, in conjunction with the Amarillo Metropolitan Planning Organization, is proposing a project of approximately 7.8 miles in Potter and Randall counties, which includes: A new location freeway section with frontage roads, ramps, grade separations over intersecting cross streets and a four-mainlane section with a provision for future expansion to an ultimate six-mainlane section Construction of an I-40/SL 335 interchange consisting of a frontage road system An I-40 mainlane bridge and associated direct connectors constructed to the ultimate six-lane section but striped for four lanes to accommodate future expansion An SL 335 mainlane bridge and associated direct connectors constructed to the ultimate six-lane section but striped for four lanes to accommodate future expansion Improvements along I-40 to mainlanes, ramps and frontage roads to accommodate the proposed I-40/SL 335 interchange Direct connectors to and from Soncy Road The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT. All interested residents are invited to attend this public meeting to express their views and discuss the project with TxDOT representatives. Comments are welcome any time on or before Friday, April 17, 2015.
