Public Meeting – SL 335 and I-40

• The conversion from a non-freeway section to a freeway section (with frontage roads, ramps, grade separations over intersecting cross streets, a four-mainlane section with a provision for future expansion to an ultimate six-mainlane section) of approximately 2.5 miles of SL 335, from 34th Avenue to SE 3rd Avenue.
• The construction of an interchange of I-40 with SL 335 consisting of frontage roads, a mainlane bridge for both I-40 and SL 335, and associated direct connectors.

The proposed SL 335 bridge would be constructed to the ultimate six-lane section, but will be striped for four lanes to accommodate future expansion of SL 335. Additionally, improvements along I-40 to the mainlanes, ramps and frontage roads will be shown to accommodate the proposed interchange with I-40 and SL 335.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.

All interested residents are invited to attend this public meeting to express their views and discuss the project with TxDOT representatives. Comments are welcome any time on or before Friday, February 5, 2015.

In case of inclement weather, Tuesday, Feb. 2, will be used as an alternate public meeting date at the same location.
