The appropriate TxDOT district personnel will contact the LG to discuss the project details (and

conduct

an inspection of the proposed project site, when applicable). It is recommended that initial project coordination occur as soon as possible after the project is selected for funding.

Determinations regarding work that is proposed to be performed using a LG’s own forces must be supported and justified with a determination of cost effectiveness and approved by TxDOT.
