If a displacee receives a relocation payment under provisions of and for the purchase or rent of a DSS replacement dwelling that costs less to purchase or rent than the comparable dwelling on which his/her approved housing or rent supplement was based, then the displacee is entitled to a payment for the unused balance of the approved housing or rent supplement, if he/she applies for the payment and meets eligibility criteria.
