The following are the most common transactions:
- Sale of a right of way interest no longer needed for state highway purposes:
- to a governmental entity (GE) with the authority to condemn the property when the state owns fee simple title (see )
- to a GE for monetary savings to the state of future maintenance costs or continued road purposes (see )
- to the abutting landowner(s) when the state owns fee simple title (see )
