The contract may provide special compliance requirements for the handling, treatment or transportation of hazardous materials, worker qualifications, and safety practices. These special provisions should be high-lighted so the contractor and inspectors are aware of them from the beginning. Specialized oversight provisions will require the participation of consultants or environmental agencies.
