Implement Provisions and Oversight

During construction, the provisions for worker and public safety, as well as handling and disposal of hazardous materials or wastes, must be implemented. The contract may provide special compliance requirements for the handling, treatment or transportation of hazardous materials, worker qualifications, and safety practices. These special provisions should be high-lighted so the contractor and inspectors are aware of them from the beginning. Specialized oversight provisions will require the participation of consultants or environmental agencies.
