TxDOT's Bryan District is developing plans to improve safety along SH 30 (Harvey Road) from BS 6-R (Texas Avenue) to SH 6 (Earl Rudder Freeway) in College Station, Brazos County, Texas. The project would construct raised medians on SH 30 to enhance safety within this section of roadway.

Potential improvements to SH 30 include:

  • Constructing raised medians to reduce vehicle turning conflicts
  • Constructing a six-foot sidewalk in front of Post Oak Mall

Background

Each year, TxDOT reviews our roadway system to determine priority locations for safety improvements. This section of SH 30 was evaluated and selected for project development, design, and construction. The Bryan District office is developing the design and investigating environmental impacts. The construction plans will be prepared for the most appropriate design with a target construction start date in Fall 2022.
