PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a project to upgrade guardrails at bridges along a portion of US 75 in Grayson County will begin Nov. 27, weather permitting.

Contractor IIPL USA, LLC, Plano, Texas, will perform this upgrade of safety guardrail between FM 120 to just north of FM 1417 along US 75. The contractor was allotted 57 working days to complete this project valued at more than $930,000. The projected completion date of this project is March 2018, officials said.

TxDOT officials said the project will require some temporary lane closures at times. Motorists who encounter this work while driving are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
