PARIS – TxDOT officials today announced that a public meeting is set for 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. June 26 at the Royse City High School cafeteria (700 FM 2642) in Royse City, Texas, to share preliminary plans for the FM 12642 widening project with the public and other interested stakeholders.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public meeting to view preliminary project plans and to provide their input in the planning process. No formal presentation will be given; the come-and-go public meeting format will provide interested citizens and others a chance to review project details and preliminary construction plans and schedules.
The proposed work includes widening 2.42 miles of the existing two-lane roadway from State Highway 66 north of I-30 southward to just beyond FM 35 south of I-30, in eastern Hunt County.
Persons with special communication or accommodation needs, including language interpreters, should call (903) 892-7206 at least two working days prior to the meeting. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate those needs.
