PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that a project to rehabilitate and widen FM 1752 from US 82 to FM 898 in Fannin County will begin this week.
The contractor, Highway 19 Construction LLC, Sulphur Springs, Texas, was granted 250 days, weather permitting, to complete this project valued at more than $5 million. The target completion date is October 2019, officials said.
This work will require the contractor to close one-lane of traffic at times during the project, officials said. Whenever possible, motorists who regularly travel this portion of FM 1752 are encouraged to use alternate routes.
Motorists who travel through this area are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel cautiously through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
