PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that traffic changes may occur during the month of May on I-30 at FM 2642 in Hunt County, weather permitting.
These changes will affect traffic traveling on the I-30 east- and west-bound main lanes and frontage roads, and north- and south-bound through traffic on FM 2642.
Message boards will alert drivers to changes in traffic flow and signed detours, officials said. The changes are necessary for construction on the FM 2642 project to continue on schedule, weather permitting.
Motorists who regularly travel along this portion of I-30 and FM 2642 in Hunt County are asked to pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and to reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones. They should also avoid distractions such as cell phones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.
