ORLA – An all-way stop condition is scheduled to be installed Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018, at the intersection of US Highway 285 and RM 652, weather permitting.

The Odessa District of the Texas Department of Transportation is installing the all-way stop condition in the interest of safety. In addition to stop signs at the intersection, advance warning signs will also be installed ahead of the intersection to warn motorists of the new all-way stop condition.

Having traffic stop in all directions will not only improve safety, but it should also improve the overall operation of the intersection, especially for RM 652 traffic trying to access or cross Highway 285.

There will be small delays while crew members install signs for the intersection. If possible, motorists are asked to avoid the intersection Saturday, Feb. 17. Motorists also need to obey any flaggers or warning signs in the construction zone.
