Work is scheduled on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2019, in Lufkin that could have traffic slowed on US 59 South at FM 819 near Angelina College.

Crews are scheduled to work on the traffic signal at the intersection of US 59 and FM 819 that will include upgrading signal heads. The work will require lane closures on US 59 throughout the day. As work progresses, the signal will be powered off and traffic will flow in an all-stop pattern until work is completed.

Motorists are urged to stay alert in this high traffic area, obey all traffic control that will be in place and reduce speed. Prepare for delays with intermittent lane closures throughout the day. Work should be completed by 3 pm, weather permitting.
