Texas Transportation Commissioners approved repositioning speed limit signs on SH 21 west of Douglass in Nacogdoches County . Motorists will soon see changes as crews move the existing speed limit signs in order to enhance the safety of the roadway.

Motorists can expect the following:

  • 70 mph speed limit sign will be moved 1.1 mile further west in the westbound lane of traffic.
  • 55 mph speed limit sign will be moved 1.1 mile further west in the eastbound lane of traffic.

The new placement of speed limit signs will be enforceable once signs are placed. Motorists are urged to stay alert to these changes and obey all signage in the area. For more information regarding roadway projects and closures statewide, visit DriveTexas.org.
