POST – The Texas Department of Transportation’s (TxDOT) Garza County maintenance crew is scheduled to make various routine maintenance upgrades and road repairs along US 84 this month. Starting Monday, April 8, road crews will begin work to upgrade the road delineation along the US 84 center median in the city of Post between Loop 46 and Third Street.

Daytime lane closures are planned during this operation and will give crews the space to safely perform the work. Drivers traveling through the work zone will see the inside lane, in both directions, closed to traffic. Weather permitting, the work is expected to take two weeks to complete.

Pavement repairs on US 84, from Justiceburg to the Scurry County line, are also planned this month. Work is currently scheduled to begin on Monday, April 22, and continue to through Thursday, May 2. Various daytime lane closures are planned as part of the work.

Motorists are urged to use caution when driving through the work zones since crews will be working in close proximity to traffic.
