Friday, June 1 for approximately three months

SH 108 at Salt Creek Bridge

HUCKABAY – Weather permitting, State Highway 108 will be closed at Salt Creek for approximately three months beginning at 8 a.m. Friday, June 1, while the bridge is replaced. Through traffic will be detoured to US 281 and FM 1188, or drivers can seek alternate routes.

The bridge replacement is part of a project to add shoulder on SH 108 from the Palo Pinto County line to the city of Huckabay. The traveling public should expect various temporary lane closures along SH 108 as the project progresses.

This 13-mile project was awarded to Jay Mills Contracting for $6 million. It is estimated for completion this fall.
