I-10 Widening West
I-10 will be closed to traffic in both directions several nights next week as crews continue work placing temporary traffic control and preparing for long-term lane shifts on the freeway. Elsewhere, daytime lane closures will continue 1,000 feet at a time between Vinton Road and Redd Road as crews continue work removing existing pavement along the inside shoulder.
Sunday, July 24, through Tuesday, July 26
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
DETOUR: Traffic will be diverted to North Desert Boulevard and allowed to re-enter westbound I-10 at the first available onramp.
Crews will be placing temporary striping and concrete safety barriers for long term lane shifts.
Sunday, July 24, through Thursday, July 28
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
DETOUR: Traffic will be diverted to South Desert Boulevard and allowed to re-enter eastbound I-10 at the first available onramp.
Crews will be placing temporary striping and concrete safety barriers for long term lane shifts.
Monday, July 25, through Saturday, July 30
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Crews will be removing existing pavement and conducting earthwork.
Thursday, July 28
9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
DETOUR: Traffic will be diverted to North Desert Boulevard and allowed to re-enter westbound I-10 at the first available onramp.
Crews will be removing and repairing damaged asphalt.
All information is subject to change based upon weather and field conditions.
On and offramps are subject to closure one hour ahead of posted time.
