Cesar Chavez Maintenance Overlay Project

Monday, Aug. 13 through Friday, Aug. 31
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Cesar Chavez Border Highway (Loop 375) alternating eastbound and westbound closures between Fonseca entrance ramp and US 54/Paisano Drive exit ramp
  • Crews will be pouring hot mix and overlay

Joe Battle (Loop 375) Widening Project

Monday through Friday (closures until further notice)
7 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day and at different locations)

  • Alternate north and southbound right and left lane closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Montana overpass and the Bob Hope overpass
  • Alternate north and southbound turnaround closures along Joe Battle Boulevard between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (at different times throughout the day and at different locations)

  • North and southbound right lane closure on Joe Battle (Loop 375) between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass
  • Alternate north and southbound entrance and exit ramp closures along Joe Battle (Loop 375) between the Bob Hope overpass and the Montana overpass
  • These closures are necessary for guardrail, electrical work and striping
  • Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects
  • All work is dependent upon weather conditions

Joe Battle (Loop 375) Sound Walls

Monday, May 30 (complete closures until further notice)

  • Southbound left lane closure on Joe Battle Boulevard (frontage road) between Montana Avenue (US 62/180) and Edgemere Boulevard
  • Southbound left lane closure on Joe Battle Boulevard (frontage road) between Vista Del Sol Avenue and Pellicano Drive

Traffic Signal Work

Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 31 (complete closure)
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Alternating north and southbound lane closures along Trowbridge Drive between Marlow and Paisano Drive (US 62)
  • Crews will be installing illumination foundations, traffic signals and sidewalk, ADA ramp replacement

Alameda Reconstruction Project

Monday, July 23 (complete closure until further notice)
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Alameda Avenue (SH 20) westbound lane closure between Gaspar Street and Walmart Supercenter intersection
  • Alameda Avenue (SH 20) traffic will be channelized to a single lane in each direction, utilizing the newly constructed SH 20 eastbound lanes
  • Alameda Avenue (SH 20) alternating eastbound and westbound closures as needed between Gaspar Street and Walmart Supercenter intersection
  • Alameda Avenue (SH 20) northbound closure at Carnes Road until further notice
  • Please follow the detour signs in place and expect traffic delays
  • Closures are necessary for construction of proposed concrete paving of westbound travel lanes, outside curb intersections, driveways, sidewalk, placement of new drainage/waterline, storm sewer, signals and illuminations

Mall Braided Ramps Project

Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 31
8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) eastbound and westbound alternating right or left lane closures between Viscount Boulevard and Airway Boulevard
  • Crews will be installing high mast illumination and traffic signal work

Monday, July 30 through Friday, August 31
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) eastbound and westbound turnaround closures at Hawkins underpass
  • Crews will be working on traffic signals

Until further notice

  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) east reduced to one lane between Airway Boulevard and Hawkins Boulevard
  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) west reduced to one lane between Viscount Boulevard and Hawkins Boulevard
  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) eastbound Hawkins exit ramp closed
  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) westbound Hawkins exit ramp closed
  • Gateway Boulevard (I-10) westbound Viscount entrance ramp closed
  • Please follow the detour signs in place on all projects. All work is dependent upon weather conditions.
