CHILDRESS – The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will begin a project on Monday, April 30, to repair the outside lane of the southbound Acme Bridge Overpass on US 287 in Hardeman County. The repair work is expected to take a week and the southbound lane should be reopened by Friday, May 4, weather permitting.
Drivers can expect delays, as traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Message boards advising motorists of the lane closure will be in place. Motorists are asked to use caution when driving in this work zone and be especially alert for construction and TxDOT crews working in this area.
