CHILDRESS – Beginning the first week of April, contractor J. Lee Milligan Inc. of Amarillo began a project to improve the roadway surface on US 287 in Hall County.

The $1.2 million project begins at the Donley County line south for 1.6 miles. Improvements consist of milling out the existing surface and replacing with a new asphaltic concrete pavement overlay.

Motorists can expect traffic reduced to one lane throughout the project duration.

This project is expected to be complete in May 2018, weather permitting.
