LAGO VISTA — TxDOT will conduct an open house to discuss proposed mobility and safety improvements on RM 1431 from RM 1174 in Burnet County to Bar K Ranch Road in Travis County on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Lago Vista Middle School cafeteria, located at 8039 Bar K Ranch Road in Lago Vista.
The open house is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to provide an opportunity for members of the public to review project details. Team members will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
The proposed project includes widening the road, where needed, adding eight slow-moving vehicle turnout lanes, adding a left-turn lane at Shaw Drive, and repaving the roadway. The turnout lanes offer slower-moving vehicles a place to pull over, to allow faster-moving traffic an opportunity to safely pass.
Environmental clearance is expected to be complete on the $1.53 million project in the spring, with construction anticipated to start this fall.
Maps, drawings and other project information will be on display at the open house, and comments from the public are requested.
Comments will be accepted at the meeting, online, or through the mail at:
