GEORGETOWN — The Texas Department of Transportation will conduct an open house to discuss proposed mobility and safety improvements at I-35 from RM 2243 to SE Inner Loop in Williamson County on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019 at Dell Pickett Elementary School, located at 1100 Thousand Oaks Boulevard in Georgetown, Texas.

The open house is scheduled from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. to provide an opportunity for members of the public to review project details. Team members will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

The project includes intersection improvements to alleviate an existing bottleneck at the intersection of RM 2243 and I-35, southbound I-35 frontage road improvements and operational improvements along RM 2243 from Woodmont Drive to Scenic Drive.

The environmental study and design development process for the estimated $37.2 million project is anticipated to be finalized in fall 2020. If approved, construction could begin in late 2023.

Maps, drawings and other project information will be on display at the open house. Comments from the public are requested. Those unable to attend the open house in person can visit the virtual open house to provide comments between Feb. 12 and Feb. 27.
