Maintenance repairs will be made to bridges on US 59 in Panola County during the coming year, according to plans approved in November by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
“We will be upgrading the metal beam guard rails along the bridges at Elm Branch and Kyle Creek in southern Panola County,” said Ray Brady, area engineer for TxDOT in Marshall.
East Texas Bridge, Inc. of Longview was awarded the contract for the construction projects with a bid of $134,765.
"Work on the projects should begin in February of next year and take about three months to complete," Brady said.
