Ray Brady, P.E., has been named as the new area engineer for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) office in Marshall, effective Nov. 1, 2017. The TxDOT Marshall Area Office is responsible for highway maintenance and construction in Harrison, Marion and Panola counties.
"We feel very fortunate to have someone of Ray’s knowledge and experience coming in to replace Paul Wong, who relocated to our Texarkana Area Office to serve as area engineer there," said Glenn Green, district engineer for TxDOT in Atlanta. "He is already familiar with the roadways and the construction projects in the area."
Brady graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of science in civil engineering in 1993. Upon graduation, Brady began his career with TxDOT working as an engineering assistant in the Marshall Area Office. He received his license as a professional engineer in June 1998. That August, he was selected as the Assistant Area Engineer in the Marshall Area Office, and then moved to the Carthage Area Office in May 1999.
When the area offices were merged in May 2008, Brady transferred to the Atlanta South Design office in Marshall and worked on a wide variety of design projects for the district. In November 2015, Ray again was named as the Assistant Area Engineer in Marshall.
