Barrier replacements, overlay work and turn lane improvements on tap

CANYON – Starting Monday, April 22, the left lane of US 60 southbound will be closed from Buffalo Stadium Road into the city of Canyon at Spur 48 for replacement of the barrier wall. This is the first phase of improvements slated for this portion of roadway. Overlay work on US 60 southbound is expected to begin within three weeks.

Also included in this $11 million project awarded to J. Lee Milligan Inc. is State Loop (SL) 335, from just west of FM 1541 in Randall County to just south of I-40 in Potter County. Construction will consist of mill and fill operations, overlay, and turn lane improvements.

Work will primarily take place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, weather and other conditions permitting.

Completion of both US 60 and SL 335 improvements is expected by the end of October 2019.
