Johnson replaces Stan Swiatek, P.E., as district engineer

ABILENE – Carl L. Johnson, P.E., has been selected to lead TxDOT’s Abilene District as district engineer. Johnson fills the position left by Stan Swiatek, P.E., who recently was appointed district engineer for TxDOT’s Waco District.

As district engineer, Johnson will oversee the planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of state transportation for the district’s 13 counties. He joins the Abilene District from the Brownwood District, where he served for 22 years.
