Open House - US 83 Median Crossovers

Purpose:
The purpose of the Open House is to gather public input on the proposed improvements to the US 83 median crossovers between Familia Street and Pete Solis Road in Starr County. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions. Comments must be received on or before Sept. 5, 2018 to be a part of the official open house record.
Description:
Proposed improvements include the following:
- Adding a median crossover with adequate deceleration lanes
- Removing two existing median crossovers with shorter deceleration lanes

Memorandum of Understanding:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
