|Description:||TxDOT is proposing two bridge projects in Lubbock County near Slaton.
The replacement of the FM 400 bridge over the North Fork Double Mountain Fork Brazos River, approximately four miles north of Slaton, will require a temporary detour during construction in the summer months of 2016. The construction of a bridge on US 84 over the railroad is just southeast of Slaton.
Both bridge projects are within existing TxDOT right of way and will not require additional acquisition.
Interested residents are invited to attend the public meeting to express their views and discuss the project with TxDOT representatives.
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
