Purpose: | TxDOT and Val Verde County invite you to a public hearing for a proposed two-mile access road from Box Canyon Road to Amistad Acres subdivision. Project staff will be on hand to answer questions and provide information during the open house. A formal presentation and citizen comment period will begin at 6 p.m. All interested persons are invited to attend and provide comments. Written and verbal comments must be received by 5 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015. Written comments may be submitted in person or mailed to the following address: Adams Environmental, Inc. Plans showing the design and location of the project, the Environmental Assessment document and other pertinent information are on file and available for inspection at the Val Verde County Judge’s office located at 400 Pecan St., Del Rio, TX. |

Description: | Val Verde County, in conjunction with the TxDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), is proposing to construct a paved roadway to the Amistad Acres subdivision near the Amistad Reservoir northwest of Del Rio in Val Verde County, Texas. Current access to Amistad Acres is along an existing unpaved private road (Holman Drive), which bisects a ranch headquarters. The purpose of this project is to create a dedicated Val Verde County roadway that will route traffic from Box Canyon Road to Amistad Acres. The proposed access road will:
The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 17, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT. |
