Purpose:

The purpose of the meeting is to gather public input and receive comments on proposed reconstruction and widening of FM 3083 from SH 105 to I-45, in Montgomery County, Texas. The meeting will be an open house format so the public may come and go at their convenience, and staff will be available to answer questions.

Description:

The proposed project would include:

• Reconstructing and widening of FM 3083 from a two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided roadway with 12-foot travel lanes, 12-foot shoulders and 18-foot raised medians within existing right of way
• Adding three proposed detention basins adjacent to the existing roadway and potentially require approximately eight acres of additional right of way for these areas
• Upgrading the roadway to current design standards

No relocations or displacements are anticipated to occur as a result of the proposed project.

Written comments must be postmarked on or before November 28, 2017, to be included in the Public Meeting Summary.

The environmental review, consultation and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
