Notice Affording Opportunity for Public Hearing - FM 1093

Purpose: TxDOT is proposing roadway improvements to FM 1093 (Westpark Tollway) from FM 723/Spring Green Boulevard to FM 359 in Fulshear in Fort Bend County, Texas. The total length of the proposed project is approximately 5.1 miles.

The existing facility consists of two travel lanes in each direction with 10-foot outside shoulders. The existing right-of-way (ROW) width is typically 120 feet.

Description: The proposed project includes the following:
  • Extension of FM 1093 (Westpark Tollway) from approximately 0.4 mile west of FM 723/Spring Green Boulevard to west of Cross Creek Ranch Boulevard
  • Widening of FM 1093 to a four-lane divided roadway from west of Cross Creek Ranch Boulevard to FM 359, with a transition to James Lane in Fulshear

The purpose of the proposed project is to reduce congestion, increase safety and improve operational efficiency along the corridor. The proposed ROW varies from 260 to 397 feet in width. Approximately 93 acres of additional ROW would be required for the proposed project and generally consists of 20 acres of permanent easements and 0.3 acre of temporary construction easements. Two commercial displacements would occur.

Relocation assistance is available for displaced persons and businesses. Information about the relocation assistance, benefits and services for displacees, as well as information about the tentative schedules for ROW acquisition and construction, may be obtained from the Fort Bend County Engineer’s office.

Maps showing the project location and design, environmental document, tentative construction schedule and other information relative to the project are on file and available for review Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Fort Bend County Engineer’s office located at 301 Jackson Street, Suite 401, Richmond, Texas 77469, and TxDOT Houston District Office located at 7600 Washington Avenue, Houston, Texas 77007.
