When:

Purpose:

TxDOT and the City of Crowley invite the public to review proposed roadway and streetscape improvements along Main Street from FM 731 (Crowley Road) to Beverley Street.  The meeting will be an open house format with no formal presentation, allowing the public to come and go at their convenience. Comments must be received on or before Jan. 4, 2019, to be a part of the official record.

Description:

The purpose of the project is to improve mobility and create appealing streetscape aesthetics while providing needed bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. Proposed improvements include the construction of two roundabouts (at Beverly Street and Roberts Street), curbed 6-foot wide bike lanes and 7-foot wide to 11-foot wide sidewalks, and on-street parking improvements. Layouts reflecting the proposed improvements will be displayed at the Public Meeting. Approximately 0.301 acres of right of way from seven properties are proposed for this project. No easements or displacements would be required as a result of the proposed project.

Special Accommodation:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can also be made to accommodate most needs. Please call (817) 297-2201 ext. 4070 at least five working days prior to the meeting. Please be aware that advance notice is requested as some accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
