El Paso, Texas 79936 (Map)

When:

Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018
Open House 6 p.m.
Hearing 7 p.m.

Purpose:

The purpose of the public hearing is to present planned improvements and gather public input on improvements to Loop 375 (Purple Heart Memorial Highway) from Spur 601 (Liberty Expressway) to US 62/180 (Montana Avenue). The first part of the meeting will be an open house format so citizens may come and go at their convenience, followed by a formal presentation and comment period. Comments must be postmarked or received on or before Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 to be part of the official hearing record.

Description:

The proposed project is intended to improve mobility and reduce congestion by widening Loop 375 from the existing four-lanes to six lanes (three lanes in each direction), with three-lane frontage roads on either side of Loop 375 and a hike-and-bike trail along the southbound Loop 375 frontage road. The proposed project would also provide improvements to the Loop 375 and Spur 601 intersections by constructing three direct connectors. The length of the proposed project is approximately 5.3 miles along Loop 375 and 1.0 mile along Spur 601. Approximately 109.9 acres of new right-of-way and permanent easement would be required for the proposed improvements.

Special Accommodations:

TxDOT makes every reasonable effort to accommodate the needs of the public. The open house will be in English. If you have a special communication accommodation or need for an interpreter, a request can be made.
