| Purpose: | To present the proposed widening of Farm-to-Market (FM) 549 from State Highway (SH) 205 to SH 276 in Rockwall County, Texas. | ||
| Description: | The proposed project would widen this section of FM 549 from a two-lane undivided roadway to a six-lane divided roadway with a grassy median with curb and gutter. The purpose of the proposed project is to reduce congestion and enhance safety by accommodating traffic volumes which are expected to increase by 50 percent on this section of FM 549 in the next 20 years. The proposed improvements would potentially require approximately 13.8 acres of new right of way and 0.8 acre for proposed easements. | ||
