Purpose:

TxDOT's Brownwood District invites you to participate in a virtual public meeting along with an in-person meeting opportunity, for the proposed I-20 ramps relocation project, which includes discussion of entry and exit ramps within the city limits of Cisco in Eastland County. Comments must be submitted via mail, email, or online by Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, to be part of the official meeting record.

Description:

The proposed project analyzes the need for reconstruction or relocation of entry and exit ramps within the Cisco area. TxDOT received a preliminary study of ramp safety, clearance, capacity needs, and ramp length of all ramps on the I-20 corridor in Texas including the portion within the Brownwood District.

The purpose of a ramp project is to improve the safety and mobility of the traveling public entering and exiting I-20. In some locations, a proposed ramp project would, subject to final design considerations, require additional right of way. A project has not been identified; therefore, construction timing is not yet known.

Special Accommodations:

The virtual and in-person meeting opportunity will be conducted in English. If you need an interpreter or document translator because English is not your primary language or you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, one will be provided to you. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. At the in-person public meeting, if you need interpretation or translation services or you are a person with a disability who requires an accommodation to attend and participate in the in-person open house, please contact Lisa Tipton, at 325-643-0413 no later than 4 p.m. CT, Monday, Aug. 1, 2022. Please be aware that advance notice is required as some services and accommodations may require time for TxDOT to arrange.

Memorandum of Understanding:

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
