Notice and Opportunity to Comment on Mont Belvieu Sidewalks at Various Locations along SH 146, Eagle Ridge Drive, Champions Gate Drive and Brookstone Boulevards

Purpose:

TxDOT in coordination with the city of Mont Belvieu are proposing to construct sidewalks along portions of SH 146 Eagle Ridge Drive, Champions Gate Drive, and Brookstone Boulevard in Chambers County, Texas. This notice is affording an opportunity to comment as part of the environmental review process for this project. This notice is affording an opportunity to comment as part of the environmental review process for this project. All comments must or received on or before Friday, Oct. 15, 2021.

Description:

The proposed project would construct sidewalks and curb ramps along SH 146 from:

• Warren Road south to the I-10 frontage road
• 600 feet along Eagle Ridge Drive from to the existing sidewalk in a private development
• 570 feet along Champions Gate Drive from Eagle Drive to the existing sidewalk in a private development
• 400 feet along Brookstone Boulevard from Eagle Drive to the existing sidewalk in a private development

The sidewalk would be 6,000 feet in length. Although additional right of way would be required, no residential or non-residential structures are anticipated to be displaced at this time.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried-out by TxDOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated Dec. 9, 2019, and executed by FHWA and TxDOT.
